Now is the perfect time to slow down and open your senses to receive the sweet gifts that summer has to offer -- the song of birds rejoicing, the smell of sweet lilacs dancing, the taste of fresh cherries bursting, the touch of sun showers sprinkling, and the romance of moonlit nights twinkling. What a delicious season it is!
My wish is that you will join me for an empowering and healing FULL day workshop called 'Phenomenal Woman' on Sunday, July 18, as well as another long Ecstatic Dance on Saturday, August 7.

Do you know of any local community-focused organisations in the GTA that serve women who could benefit from Dance Our Way Home?
For the last ten years DOWH has been a core body image group at Sheena’s Place, a support organization for people with disordered eating and body image issues. From its success as a group, it has since blossomed into a practice available to the wider community of women within Toronto. DOWH’s evolution continually inspires women to explore their own growth and strength by connecting to themselves, each other, and their community. The women who have been touched by DOWH can clearly attest to its power as a healing and transformative practice. A practice, which unfortunately is all too often not accessible to those who could stand to benefit most from its exploration.
The next step in Dance Our Way Home’s expansion is being taken with the expressed intent of reaching such women.

Ecstatic Dance for ALL (men, women & children)
Saturday, August 7, 2010 2-5pm

Ecstatic Dance is a fun, sacred, liberating, joyous and transformative space of free-style dance and community connections.
No experience needed, only a willingness to move, and be moved.
Come with friends. Drop-in whenever. No registration needed.With less direction than a DOWH workshop or series; there will be an opening circle followed by a long, visceral musical set (soul, global funk, sacred chants, ambient, electronica, women's voices and more) designed to liberate your inner dancer. We'll end in a simple prayerful closing circle.

This new series is the 4th of 5 DOWH Intro Level Series -- Nest, Nourishment, Unfolding, Attainment and Freedom.
Attainment is a personal journey of self-discovery, empowerment and manifestation. Through free-style dance, relaxation, guided imagery, and community, we will explore the ease and flow of magic-making (a shift of perception) by being relaxed and fully present with our intentions, body wisdom, dreams and desires. We will connect with the healthy Choice Maker within that KNOWS you and what you need. We will find and release obstacles that prevent us from making our dreams reality, and celebrate the joys of co-creating in a place of power, depth and love.
Come be nourished and inspired each week in a safe and sacred space of dance, relaxation and guided imagery, in the warmth of a sweet circle of women.

Full Series: $125 (6 sessions for the price of 5)
Attend the full series (preferred choice) and get the benefits of a weekly practice, at a discounted price. Pre-paid registration is required for the discount. No refunds or exchanges.Drop-Ins: $25
DROP-In as often as you can (ideal for women who can't commit to the full series). No pre-paid registration is required for this option.
After each session we will continue the DOWH practice by moving to a nearby coffee shop to process and share our experiences for a short while. Come when you can.
